Venue:
All symposium events will be held in the Meshel Room at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor (“Steel Museum”) on the campus of Youngstown State University.

Limited, free parking is available at the museum. There are metered parking spots along Wood Street in front of the museum. Or, guest parking passes may be purchased from YSU Parking Services.

Accommodations:
1) There are a limited number of rooms set aside at the DoubleTree by Hilton Youngstown Downtown for Oct 26-29. To secure the special symposium rate, reservations must be made before September 26, 2022. The Steel Museum is a .3 mile walk from the DoubleTree. Parking at the hotel is $12.00 per day. 2) As an alternative, we have limited dorm space available to graduate students only. For more information, please email alfluker@ysu.edu

Travel:
There are three airports fairly equidistant from Youngstown: Akron-Canton (CAK), Cleveland-Hopkins (CLE), and Pittsburgh (PIT). NOTE: We are able to offer limited shuttle service to PIT only. For questions about this service, please email alfluker@ysu.edu

We will also offer limited shuttle service between the DoubleTree and the Steel Museum during the symposium.

Meals:
Light breakfast, snacks, and beverages will be provided throughout the symposium. There will be a reception following the keynote address, with hors d’oeuvres, wine, and other beverages.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the Steel Museum. Try the Kilcawley Center on campus or check out the excellent eateries along Phelps and Federal streets in downtown Youngstown.
